Driving Successful Lives donated a working vehicle to a Charity in Michigan that supports at-risk children and breast cancer survivors

Michigan (PRUnderground) July 30th, 2019

On July 20th, Driving Successful Lives donated a working vehicle to a Charity in Michigan that supports at-risk children and breast cancer survivors. The “Keys For A Cause Program” by Driving Successful Lives operates nationwide and while many of the vehicles donated must be recycled, a fair amount of the cars can be salvaged or improved and are then given to other organizations or folks who need transportation.

“We understand the desperate need for personal transportation in many situations,” said a representative for Driving Successful Lives.   “Public transportation covers much of the country, and is very feasible for some, but in many cases, a private vehicle is more than just a simple convenience – it is freedom.  Some families seriously need their own vehicle in order to manage multiple children, reach various destinations & work during hours that may be outside of public transportation schedules.”

While many recipients and donors wish to remain anonymous, Driving Successful Lives will rise to the occasion and contribute parts, money, mechanical labor and time to making sure the vehicles are safe for use and given to other Charities who support human enrichment. The donation of a Jeep Wrangler was given to help a good cause to an individual who has lived through breast cancer survivorship and donates much time to helping support women and children and Driving Successful

Lives staff is proud to be a part of every donation it can give.

About Driving Successful Lives

Driving Successful Lives’ mission is to facilitate car donations so that veterans, homeless families, children, those with addictions & other non-profits can benefit from fellow citizens giving-forward.

Every time a person gives to the charity of their choice it may also create a tax benefit for them. The money, the items, and the real property that they have donated to non-profit institutions throughout the tax year may be tax deductible which means that they could end up being the difference between a good tax return and a great tax return. Depending upon the kind of donation and the type of charity or foundation that they chose to donate to, the tax deduction it creates could be very helpful for reducing the amount taxes that they owe. Many successful and wealthy people state that at least to a certain degree, a part of whom they are and what they have become comes at least in part from the practice of giving. Contributing to charities can be a very convenient way to reduce taxes.

Driving Successful Lives Moves to Include Real Estate Donation to its Core Collaborative Efforts in Raising Funds for Families and Individuals In Need

The non-profit organization now accepts residential and commercial property donations as a way to raise funds to help needy families

Michigan (PRUnderground) July 30th, 2019

Driving Successful Lives, a Michigan non-profit organization that accepts used car donations as a way to provide funding to other non-profits and churches that it partners with, has added commercial & residential real estate donation functionality.  A spokesman for the non-profit organization reported that the addition of real estate donations will “drastically increase the dollar amounts that we are able to contribute to worthwhile causes.”

“Having the ability to work with individual donors, companies and real estate professionals will help us to provide much-needed funding to many more families – while providing significant tax benefits to the donors.  Rather than sitting on a possibly inactive property, the donor get out from under the property while seeing both financial and social benefits. We can take these (oftentimes) depreciating properties and put them back into use.  With some real estate donations, our partner charities have the opportunity to house families that are sorely in need of a home.”

Driving Successful Lives will accept real estate donations that include, but are not limited to: single homes, multi-unit apartment buildings, storefronts, warehouses, etc.  “Our goal is to be able to put houses back in circulation as homes and put other types of real estate to good use to benefit as many families 7 individuals in need as possible.”

Industry: Non Profit

The charitable organization is continuing in its commitment to supporting needy individuals and families with its car donation efforts.

Highland, MI (PRUnderground) May 21st, 2019

Driving Successful Lives, a Michigan-based national non-profit, recently facilitated a car donation to a new U.S. Postal Service employee.

A generous donation of a Pontiac Sunfire with only 49,000 miles was donated to Driving Successful Lives, a 501 (c) 3 that is on a mission of helping others in need of transportation, nationwide.  “The donor insisted the car be moved urgently because she was tired of it being parked in her drive and wanted it gone and given to someone in need,” said a representative for DSL.  “Targeting a recipient of the car donation began with a single-lined email to the charity stating- “I am in Iowa and I need a car for transportation to my job.”

“Driving Successful Lives realized this car was meant to be for the local woman who had fallen on rough times and needed a car so she could begin working at the local post office.  Transportation was very vital for this deserving recipient, so the charity paid to have the vehicle transported to her,” added the rep.  “To make sure that she would have effective and safe means of transportation, we also had the brakes replaced and a new battery installed for the grateful owner.”

“Acts of kindness, generosity and a devotion to humanity are what people should strive for on a daily basis” says the Director of the Driving Successful Lives.  “When we open our hearts and give, we see amazing results and can often change the life of a person in an instant.  Giving the car to a local woman who had the heart to reach out and ask was just the beginning of the meant to be donation.”

Driving Successful Lives also reports that some service providers have come forward to handle any additional mechanical work on the vehicle free of charge, showing their support for the Driving Successful Lives mission.

To date, Driving Successful Lives has been instrumental in processing viable cars from the donation program in order to make a difference in the lives of the people it serves, nationwide.  Recently recognized as a leader in the community for providing, food, clothing, shelter and transportation by various churches and ministries, Driving Successful Lives will continues to lead the way in giving.

Michigan (PRUnderground) July 29th, 2019

Non-profit fundraiser and community outreach organization, Driving Successful Lives, has recently announced the development of a new program designed to help increase awareness and participation with local churches.  The organization detailed the functionality of its tested program – beginning with the White Lake Presbyterian Church in White lake, MI – a working partner with Driving Successful Lives on other community initiatives.

“Our new outreach program is centered on collaboration,” said a spokesperson for DSL.  “We reach out to local realtors in the area to find out who the new neighbors are in an area, and we drop off a welcome package for those new residents.  The welcome package is a gift bag with information about the area – including things to do, places to go & a variety of interests common to families.  We’ve also included a few gifts, such as water bottles, hats, sun block, kites, etc. during the summer and fall.  Along with the gifts are welcome letters and invites to attend services at a neighboring church.”

Driving Successful Lives creates and funds the project (on a limited basis) and the program is available across the country.  Churches of all denominations are encouraged to connect with DSL for more information – along with a step-by-step instructional on how to make the program work best in their area.
